On behalf of the Investigator College Board I would like to advise that Mr Don Grimmett, Principal/CEO, will be concluding his role at Investigator College at the end of Term 2, 2019 to take up the position of Principal at King’s Baptist Grammar School, Wynn Vale.

Don commenced in the role of Principal at Investigator College in 2002 at a time when the College faced many challenges.  Over the past 17 years, Don has been relentless in his pursuit to create a learning community committed to excellence in education on the South Coast.

Don has been instrumental in making the vision of the Board a reality. The development of the Victor Harbor Campus from a greenfield site to the world class facility it is today, the innovative purchase and development of the Currency Creek Eco-Sustainability Trade Skills Centre and Eco-Centre and the Little Investigators Early Learning Centre are among many accomplishments achieved under his leadership.

The Board thanks Don for his commitment to our school. He will be greatly missed by the school community including past and present staff, students and parents.

I congratulate Don on his appointment and wish him all the best in his new role, but reassure the community that he will remain as Principal of Investigator College until mid-2019. There will be plenty of opportunities to say goodbye to Don, and formal arrangements will be advised in the New Year.

The Board is very aware of its responsibility to recruit the most suitable candidate to lead the College into the future. We are committed to a thorough and transparent recruitment process and will shortly appoint an external recruitment firm to assist with the appointment.

Yours sincerely

Rachel Elliott
College Board Chairperson
