To celebrate National Science Week, the Year 4, 5 and 6 classes were involved in the Frank’s Lab on Legs Science sessions during Week 5 this term.

Frank led students through a range of interactive experiments which focussed on the Chemical Sciences strand. Students had the opportunity to explore and test how different properties of materials determine their use. Some of the investigations included testing whether different materials are conductors or insulators, looking at the differences between the properties of solids, liquids and gasses, and what happens to different materials when they are heated and cooled. Students were highly engaged in the different activities and the content of the sessions really helped to reinforce what we have been learning about in our Chemical Sciences units this year.

We would like to say a big thank you to Frank for coming to share with us.
