Teachers at the College use a variety of resources and strategies to identify, engage and extend students demonstrating “gifted and talented” traits.
This is done primarily within the classroom, but students may also have the opportunity to participate in programs such as “The da Vinci Decathlon” and “Sleek Geeks”.
Given the College’s structure, it is also possible that, in exceptional cases, students may be accelerated in one or more curriculum areas.
For example, it may be possible for a student in Year 9 or 10 to undertake some subjects at SACE level. Such arrangements occur only after extensive consultation by teaching staff, specialist teachers and external assessments.
