On 7 August, our Year 4/5 Basketball teams competed at the SAPSASA Basketball Carnival at the Morphett Vale Stadium.  The teams competed against other schools from the Fleurieu Peninsula.  Investigator College fielded three teams – a Division 1 Boys, a Division 1 Girls and a Division 2 Boys team.

The Division 1 Boys team only lost two games for the day, one against Encounter Lutheran College and the other against Victor Harbor R-7 School. The boys defeated Port Elliot Primary School, Yankalilla Area School, Goolwa Primary School and Eastern Fleurieu School quite convincingly. The boys combined as a team exceptionally well.

The Division 2 Boys team fought hard all day and also only lost one match against Encounter Lutheran College.  The team played hard and persevered through some tough games but, at the end of the day, the boys could hold their heads high at the extremely positive results.

The Division 1 Girls team won four out of their five games and the one game they lost was only by one point to Eastern Fleurieu School.  Thus, they finished a very worthy second place.

All teams were outstanding representatives for Investigator College and worked together with the utmost determination, sportsmanship and perseverance.

A massive thank you to all of the parents involved on the day – whether transporting, coaching or scoring. Without them, these days cannot proceed.
