On the 20 September the Year 4/5 Investigator boys basketball team played in the SAPSASA State finals.  They had a highly competitive day, winning and losing games by 3 points or less and in some games they had a draw. The competition was that tight!  The boys lost their first game by 2 points, their second game was a draw and their third game they lost by 3 points.  This put them 4th in their pool and every game from then was an elimination final.  They managed to win the next game by 3 points, draw the next one and then win in overtime by one point, and then lost the next game by 1 point to be eliminated.  Overall the boys came 5th  or 6th  in the State.  A massive thank you goes to Dennis Rice, who coached the boys brilliantly, and to the parents who gave up a day to transport the boys.  It was an exhaustive, highly emotional day but was well worth it.

The team consisted of:
Mason Burrows
Rory Hudson
Finn Magor
Max English
Riley Sheridan
Matthew Boyd
