With patience, perseverance and some meticulous planning, the 2020 Senior Formal was finally able to be held. Although we had some additional requirements, adhering to COVID regulations, a wonderful celebration and rare opportunity to socialise was had. Students were resplendent in their finery as they arrived at One Paddock Winery, Currency Creek. With the weather slightly warmer than our usual May date, group photos were taken against a stunning sunset backdrop. Dressed with glamour that could only be rivaled by a Hollywood event, fashion was very ‘on-trend’ with a variety of colour and sparkle being favoured!
The dance floor was ‘well-trod’ by both students and staff, of course, in numbers not exceeding the dance floor area requirements. When not showing off their ‘moves’, student enjoyed the photo booth and posed for group and individual shots, all whilst managing to be mindful of social distancing requirements!
After a sumptuous 3 course meal, the much anticipated presentation of the awards was done, with the honours going to:
Formal King – Benito Catinari
Formal Queen- Anais Mather
Prince – Tyson Graves
Princess – Stella Russo
Best Dancer – Alex Brehin
For the many hours of coordination and facilitation, we recognize the efforts of the Formal Committee and their staff assistants.
A wonderful night was had with the students being a credit to themselves and the College.
