After their terrific efforts at the Royal Adelaide Show, our Middle School STEP Sheep Showing students turned their hand to shearing.

A ram, nicknamed Curly, was shorn using hand shears, yielding approx 10kgs of wool.

This exercise gave the students a good appreciation of how hard it used to be for shearers in the days before mechanical shears.
