As part of the Year 6 Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) topic of Economics, the Year 6s have been studying the process of running a small business. In groups, students have worked to design and produce a variety of products that were sold at their market day stalls on Thursday 29 October.
Before the market day stalls occurred, students completed a Small Business Portfolio which included designs of the product, detailed market research, costs of materials required, advertising and a summary of spending versus profits. All groups were successful in earning profits from their market stalls with $972.15 being donated to Ronald McDonald House Charity.
Thank you to all students, staff and Year 6 parents for supporting the Year 6s in their business endeavours.
