This week Investigator College welcomed Flinders University, the University of South Australia (UniSA) and Adelaide University, who engaged with our Senior School students, explaining the diverse opportunities on offer in 2024 and beyond.

Senior students were invited to attend a number of presentations from members representing various faculties at each university, continuing to build relationships between our students and their pathways beyond graduation, and extending on visits to each university that have taken place throughout the year. The focus on linkages with universities and higher education providers has been stronger than ever this year, and our 2023 Year 12 students have made the most of the opportunities these links have provided, with many building strong connections and contacts in preparation for their acceptance into courses at their universities of choice.

Universities visiting regional high schools is a win-win scenario. The interactions can transform dreams into tangible possibilities and empower students to aim high in their educational pursuits. The visits not only provide information, but can also ignite the spark of ambition. Through such initiatives, the doors to higher education swing open wider, welcoming students from all corners to step confidently into their futures.

As these students enter the final phase of their secondary education, opportunities to set their sights on the pathways that lie beyond their end of year exams and assessments are an excellent reminder of the exciting future that awaits – and an affirmation that the hard work and effort they are applying to their studies now will lead to some amazing opportunities in the very near future. With continual support from staff, from parents, and from each other these young people will finish the year with flying colours and, thanks to the opportunities they have received to engage with leading educational institutions this year, be in a fantastic position to take their next step with well-established connections to tertiary pathways.
