As another term has come to an end, I am reminded of how lucky we are to work and belong to such a supportive and positive community. Term 3 has certainly been eventful with lockdowns, restrictions and parents being unable to be on site, but I have been so grateful for the support the community has shown throughout the term during these difficult times.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at our wonderful College for their support and professionalism throughout the past few months. We are certainly blessed to have such a wonderful team of educators and support staff to engage and guide our students. They approach each hurdle with enthusiasm and a positive attitude and, in doing this, are being fantastic role models for our children.
Both Mr Jim Dunbar and Mrs Melissa Belton will be taking some much deserved Long Service Leave at the start of Term 4 and we wish them the best of luck with their leave.
Melissa will be replaced for the first five weeks by Mr Nathan Godfrey-Brown; we welcome him back to the school. Jim will be replaced by Aliza Webb, a regular TRT at the College and member of our Investigator community, and Laura Cameron, who has also done some TRT work here and is well known to our community. We welcome both Laura and Aliza.
We also take this opportunity to thank Mrs Vanessa Harvie, who has been the Acting Director of our ELC for Term 1-3. She has done an outstanding job and will be replaced by Mrs Bev Giggins, who will return to the College to take on the Acting Director role in Term 4. We welcome Bev back to our College.
Mrs Danielle Visser, who has been an Early Childhood Teacher in the Early Learning Centre, will also be leaving us. We thank her for her hard work.
Please have a safe and restful holiday and enjoy some time together as a family. I look forward to seeing everyone again on Tuesday 12 October for another successful and exciting term.
