Grandparents and Grand Friends Day
We have had a wonderful start to Term 4 with the highlight being our Grandparents and Grand Friends Day on Tuesday. We estimate we had approximately 300 Grand visitors to the College. It was wonderful to see our students proudly showing their guests their classrooms and introducing them to their friends and teachers. Their manners and pride were certainly on show and many recounted the highlights of the year as they played golf, made badges or potpourri and drew portraits of each other. The students also asked their grandparents what school used to be like. Many found this a highlight of their morning. The event finished off with a cuppa and scones while the students all enjoyed a Zooper Dooper.
After several years without this important calendar event, it was lovely to have so many people on campus. A big thank you to Casey Andrae our Executive Assistant and our P and F for organising the wonderful morning tea.

Year 12 Graduation and Smoking Ceremony
The Junior School students absolutely loved seeing off our graduating Year 12 students today by forming a guard of honour. The bond that is formed between our eldest and youngest students truly is a special aspect of being part of an ELC to Year 12 College.
The occasion was also made extra special with the addition of the smoking ceremony, performed by local Ngarrindjeri and Narangga man, Cedric Varcoe.
RAP (Reconciliation Action Plan)
We are currently seeking a small group of volunteers that are interested in being part of a working group to review and relaunch the Investigator College Reconciliation Action Plan.
It has been several years since the RAP has been reviewed and we look forward to updating it and embedding it in the Culture of the College.
If you have experience or interest in working on the Reconciliation Action Plans please send an expression of interest to Casey Andrae on candrae@investigator.sa.edu.au
Similarly, if you think your child would be interested in joining this group please encourage them to also register their interest with their Head of School. Daily Notes will be added to the morning bulletin to invite and remind students about this meeting.
Our working group will have a meeting on Monday 7 November from 9am until 12pm.
Enrolments for 2023
There are limited spaces in some year levels for 2023. If you know of any friends or extended family that would like to secure a place at Investigator College, please encourage them to attend our upcoming Principal’s Tour next Tuesday 1 November.
A big thank you to those families that are promoting the College in the community, your referrals are very helpful.
We are very much looking forward to all of the wonderful events we have planned throughout this term.
