Dear Families

Welcome back! It is great to return to school for the start of Term 2. The students have returned happy and refreshed from their holiday break. They are setting goals to achieve in Term 2 and engaging in some fantastic learning opportunities.

It was lovely to start the term with a special ANZAC Day Assembly on Tuesday and we were very fortunate to have Miss Lisa Pointon play the Last Post and Reveille on the trumpet.

There are many things to look forward to in Term 2. Receptions will be looking at the needs of living things at Currency Creek, Year 1 will be studying the features of living things and having their late night at Currency Creek.  Year 2 will be having their camp at Narnu farm. Year 3 will be visiting the Victor Harbor Library to undertake some Reconciliation activities. Year 4 will also be attending Currency Creek to learn about weathering and erosion. Year 5 will have the star lab planetarium visiting and Year 6 will be heading to Woodhouse for their camp.

As well as this, we have a number of special events to look forward to in the Junior School. Next week on Tuesday 4 May, we have our Mother’s Day breakfast and activities as well as our Mother’s Day stall. We also have the Kidz Biz Growth and Development Family Evening on Thursday of Week 4. In Week 7, Cyber Safety expert Susan McLean will be running an evening presentation for families. This will be particularly relevant for families of students in the higher years.

We look forward to a great term.
