Dear Parents/Caregivers,

Aligned with Australia’s finest schools

How lucky are our students to be living in such a beautiful location! From coastal vistas with The Bluff standing high, to a brilliant commercial hub, an amphitheatre of rolling hills or perhaps a river or agricultural focus, this really is the place to be! I grew up on Yorke Peninsula where I was treated to lovely beaches and a committed community but – due to its small population – we were lacking when it came to good private schools.

A few minutes before writing this article, I had been at a regular meeting with Principals of Adelaide’s Anglican Colleges. The leaders of St Peter’s College, Pulteney Grammar School, St Peter’s Woodlands, St John’s Grammar, Trinity College, Pedare and Woodcroft College were all there. Together we stand united in our quest to provide the finest education offering in South Australia and Investigator has been developing a new Strategic Plan and Masterplan to reflect this. There will be no need to move from this beautiful district to help your children achieve their dreams. With some assistance from our city sister and brother schools, our students will be able to have it all. There has never been a more exciting time to be at Investigator!

Announcing Our 2022 College Captains

It gives me great pleasure to announce our new College Captains for 2022. After a rigorous selection process, including outstanding speeches to students and staff, our Captains for 2022 were elected following student voting and staff endorsement.

Captains: Kane Cody and Charlotte Walker

Vice Captains: Seth McArthur and Sarah Attrill

The College Captains perform an important role in representing the College and promoting student voice. Kane, Charlotte, Seth and Sarah will have a very busy 2022, not only within the College, but also as they network with other student leaders from leading Anglican and Independent Schools.

On behalf of the College community, I extend congratulations to our new leaders and acknowledge the wonderful work of our 2021 College Captains, Stella Russo and Gabby Cook, and Vice Captains, Oscar Collins and Leah Bailey

Speech Day

Again, reflecting the practice of Australia’s finest education institutions, this year we are introducing a formal Speech Day during school time, enabling students to be part of this and to feel inspired to reach new heights. Our guest speaker is Olympic and Commonwealth Games marathon runner Jessica Stenson (nee Trengove). Successful in so many respects, Jessica’s advice to our students will help them to be the best possible version of themselves. We would dearly love to have all students and parents present, but we still have to adhere to some COVID restrictions. For this reason a live stream will be available so that nobody misses out on this celebration of all that is good at Investigator College.

Our P&F is back!

Please feel free to join them as they run a barbecue at the Year 3 – 6 Beach Carnival and possibly other events. Further details will be sent soon. We have an absolutely delightful group of parents who are keen to contribute to the College and deepen their Investigator connection. I know you will get behind them. Thanks also for sending your work colleagues and neighbours in for a tour. The year 2022 is shaping up to be sensational!
