Hands of Hope 2018
Working alongside international aid organisation, the International Gospel Centre South East Asia (IGC), students from Investigator College are once again travelling to Cebu, Philippines to deliver hope to kids living in poverty in the dumps and ghettos of Cebu.
Whilst the team seeks to make a difference in the lives of those trapped by their circumstances, the greatest lesson is the realisation that hope is not simply economic freedom, but ultimately a relationship.
Activities will include: facilitating 2, two-day youth camps; feeding those who live on the streets; sharing with internees in the women’s prison and participating in children’s programs.
Over many years, the greatest discovery for the team is the realisation that hope is not about what we bring to Cebu, but the integrity of the relationship we share with the people of the Philippines. We can be hope wherever we are.
And we need your help! Are you able to sponsor a local Cebu teen to attend a youth retreat for $50 (or simply make a donation in the amount of your choice).
