As part of the local Encounter Celebrations, our Year 4 classes participated in a competition to design a poster about the encounter between Matthew Flinders and Nicolas Baudin at our very own Encounter Bay shores. Our students learnt a lot from this project and we now understand why this encounter was so significant in our history books and also why our school is named Investigator College!

Three of our students, Romy Matthews, Zhaleiya Heath and Zara Altamura, were lucky enough to win prizes in the competition and, on Thursday 8 April, these students were part of a flag-raising ceremony and received their certificate and prize money.

Mrs Wade and Miss Maidment are really proud of the Year 4 students for entering this competition and know that the students all learnt so much from it.
