Bus Usage Fees

Regular use of the Investigator College Bus Service attracts a small co-contribution of $100.00 per student, per term.

Investigator College make every effort to ensure our bus service remains affordable for our students and their families. This co-contribution assists with the maintenance, upkeep and on-road costs for our bus fleet.

Casual use of the bus is available by arrangement, with a $5.00 fee payable for each trip

Students requiring casual use of the Investigator College buses are encouraged to make contact with the College Reception. Ability to offer spaces to casual users is subject to capacity, with priority of spaces going to regular users on each route/service.

Casual Usage

If your child/ren need to use the bus service on a one-off or casual basis, bookings can be made by a parent/caregiver in writing no later than 1:00pm for travel that afternoon or the following morning.

If you require casual use of the Investigator College Bus Service, please ensure that you advise us ahead of time, as we may not always be able to guarantee casual spaces on each route/service.

Priority for Regular Users

The College bus service gives priority to permanent users travelling to and from their place of residence.

Although the College will make every effort to accommodate a variety of student needs (multiple/alternative bus use for sport, work, friends, etc), this may not always be possible.  All bus routes have a maximum capacity and no further applications will be considered once the maximum number of students has been reached.

RFID Passes

Students utilising the bus service will be issued with a RFID College Bus Pass that students will use to “tap on and off” as they use the bus each day.

This will provide real time passenger manifests and provide peace of mind to parents/caregivers that the location of their child/ren is known at all times.

Should registered students discontinue using the bus service, notification to the College is required within 7 days to ensure accurate numbers.

Any cards that are no longer working or have been lost need to be reported to Administration immediately.  Replacement cards cost $5.50 and can be purchased at the Finance office in the Senior School.
