It’s 1st place for boys and 2nd place for girls at the Year 7/8 Volleyball Fleurieu Cup!

On Wednesday 21 September, four Investigator College teams (2 girls, 2 boys) competed against five other schools across the Fleurieu region at Victor Harbor High School.

The Year 8 boys team displayed dominance and high energy all day, playing through all of their matches undefeated and taking 1st place.

It was a similar story with the Year 7 girls team as they won all their matches until the final game where they narrowly lost by only a few points, resulting in 2nd place. This was an outstanding achievement considering this was the first experience these girls have had playing competitive volleyball.

The combined Year 7/8 boys and the Year 8 girls teams also had success throughout the day, winning matches and ending up equal 2nd and 4th respectively out of 8 teams in their pools.

All students represented the College with enthusiasm, teamwork and sportsmanship on the day and are to be congratulated on their fantastic achievement.

Next up is the Year 7/8 Statewide Knock-Out competition in Term 4. Watch this space!
