Firstly, a warm welcome back to all students and families, after what was hopefully a restful term break.
Term 3 promises to be jam-packed, providing our students with a vibrant and engaging learning environment and opportunities in numerous areas.

Rite Journey Camp

Year 9 students will participate in their year level camp in Week 4, which forms a significant part of the Rite Journey program. They will venture to Mount Crawford and participate in a range of challenges and activities aimed at getting them outside of their comfort zone and continuing to grow as young adults. They will bushwalk, rock-climb and abseil, mountain bike as well as learn new camping and cooking skills. We wish them and the staff involved well and hope they gain a lot from the experience.

Investig8

A new semester brings with it new opportunities within in our Investig8 program. Students this semester will begin to participate in new Investig8 options that will challenge and explore their areas of passion and interest. This semester we will see students participate in Electronic Music Production, Volleyball, Multicultural Cooking, Ceramics, 3D Design and Printing, plus many more.

Lunchtime Activities

At Investigator College, we firmly believe that learning extends beyond the classroom walls. Our Middle School offers a wide range of activities at lunchtime to cater to diverse interests. This term students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of House sports, robotics, drama club, as well as other fun novelty events.

Students who have been involved in our robotics group, will also start to work towards competing in their first robotics competition later in the term. Mr Ayliffe and the students are excited for what is in store and I am sure will represent the school well.

Parent Engagement

We recognise the significant role parents play in a child’s education and we believe that open communication between teachers and parents is vital for the holistic development of students. We will be looking for opportunities this term to invite parents into our school to share with their children some of the fantastic learning taking place in various areas of the school. Please keep an eye out for more information about these opportunities and we look forward to warmly welcoming you into our community.
