Please join us on Open Day

Wednesday, 20 March 2024
As parents we are so busy and often only have need to drop our children at the bus-stop or in the carpark.

Open Day on Saturday provides a great opportunity for you to wander throughout our Bacchus Road site, to chat with our teachers, see the rich learning experiences that Investigator students engage in, to partake in some fun activities, enjoy a delicious lunch or coffee, listen to some top quality music performances and to meet or reacquaint other parents.

Open Day is also an ideal opportunity for you, as a valued community member, to help us entertain prospective families. Do you know others like you who appreciate that a good education is a ticket to achieving a successful, fulfilled life? A chance to truly be your best self? Please let these people know about Open Day as we still have a place in some year levels for a 2024 start.

Excitement in the College is growing for our new Innovation Centre also. Having a new ELC – Year 12 library, dedicated robotics spaces, enterprise laboratories, new classrooms and spaces for you to meet with other parents will be a gamechanger.

Now proudly 21 years old, we are proud of our past and so excited about both the present and future of Investigator College. This is a wonderful time to be at the Fleurieu’s number one school -your school- so please come and say hello on Saturday!

Anglican Creation Care Network

Hearty congratulations to guest speakers Natalie Gilbert, John Freebairn and students Audrey Owen (Year 6), Levi Weedon (Year 7) and Django Westmoreland (Year 10), who all starred recently at St Peter’s Cathedral for the relaunch of the Anglican Creation Care Network. These exceptional role models are dedicated to ensuring that the world remains a wonderful place for you and your descendants to enjoy.  We have since been inundated with interest from environmental groups and leaders who now wish to visit our amazing Eco-Campus and see our unique programs first hand.

Stop Press!

Congratulations to Head of Junior School Mr Grant Bock for being awarded Life membership of the Australian Primary Principal’s Association (APPA). We are so proud to have one of Australia’s most highly regarded educators leading our Junior School. Having led Westminster and other noteworthy colleges, Grant is ensuring that our Junior School is up with the best of the best. Well done, Grant.

I feel blessed to be working in partnership with such inspiring staff, students and families.

See you Saturday!

Farewelling the class of 2024

This week is a significant week in the lives of our 2024 Year 12 students. This is the final, official week of school for them all. We have celebrated them in style with a variety of Spirit Week activities: dress-up as your future career, op-shop day, signing of college shirts, Staff v Year 12 students in volleyball and netball. The spirit and life around the College have been tremendous all week, but of course there have been a few tears.

A passport to do amazing things!

As parents we all want the very best for our children. We spend time pondering which school will give him or her the best opportunities, we worry about which class group or teacher will fit best, we sometimes stress over homework expectations, report comments or whether or not they won a place in a sporting team, College Musical or a leadership role.
