The reader pen is a useful and valuable tool for students who have dyslexia or reading difficulties. The pen scans any text in books and with the use of an earpiece reads the highlighted text to the student. This assistive technology assists the student, for example, when reading maths questions or complex words in the science text. The pen has other functions including a dictionary and voice recording.
The cost is $360 + $16.50 postage. The company is NDIS registered.

Visit www.scanningpens.com for a 14 day trial or contact Julie Blackburn, Scanning Pens Australia, on 02 8855 7123.

If you wish to discuss this with me further or have other questions or concerns, I am more than happy to assist.
