Our Year 9-10 Boys Basketball team travelled to St John’s Grammar on Friday 23 September to play their Year 9-10 team in a friendly match in preparation for the upcoming State-wide Knockout competition in Term 4.

It was an extremely tight match for the entire game and was played in very good spirits from both teams. Towards the end of the 4th quarter, Investigator was three points up. With 1.4 seconds left on the clock, a player from St John’s hit an amazing 3-pointer which sent the game into overtime and then double overtime!

It wasn’t until the last few minutes of double overtime that Investigator pulled away and won the game 57-49.

It was a fantastic and highly entertaining game to watch and will give the boys good confidence leading into next term’s knockout competition. Special thanks to St John’s Grammar for hosting us and organising referees for the game.
